Position: Paralegal
Location: Miami Lakes, FL (Office-based with some remote flexibility)
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. This role focuses on supporting commercial real estate transactions, particularly leasing, and involves drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documents. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in-house counsel with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, with an emphasis on leasing.
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including leases, construction contracts, purchase agreements, and service contracts.
- Handle administrative tasks such as contract intake, document organization, and client communication.
- Conduct due diligence for real estate and corporate transactions.
- Prepare and file documents with government agencies.
- Perform legal research and analysis using tools like Westlaw.
- Support board meeting preparations, including drafting agendas and recording minutes.
- Monitor regulatory updates to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between the company, clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records, both physical and digital, including corporate documents and databases.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a paralegal, with a focus on commercial real estate leasing.
- Strong understanding of legal and real estate terminology.
- Proficiency in Ironclad or similar contract management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools like Westlaw.
- Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) or national certification (e.g., NALA, NFPA, NALS).
- Experience in real estate litigation, including evictions.
- Familiarity with title and survey review, ADA compliance, personal injury law, or employment law.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Schedule and Benefits:
- Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
